Notice Regarding California & CARB: The California Air Resources  Board does not permit the sale, shipping or use of emissions related  parts that alter the performance of emissions related devices and does  not permit the sale, shipping or use of emissions related parts that  change emissions, unless the California Air Resources Board has issued  an Executive Order allowing its sale, shipping or use or is a  replacement part as defined in California Code of Regulations, Title 13,  Section 1900(b)(2). Please refer to federal, state and local laws  pertaining to your jurisdiction to determine whether a product is  authorized for use in your jurisdiction.          

 


Ryder Racing General Mechanical and Parts Warranty

  • All USED mechanical parts sold carry a 3 Month parts only warranty  unless otherwise specified. All NEW mechanical parts sold carry a 12  Month / 20,000 kilometer parts only warranty unless otherwise written  itemizing the specific part.
  • All electrical parts or components sold carry a 30 Day parts only warranty unless otherwise specified.
  • Ryder Racing Pty Ltd does not cover - Labour expenses, freight or  towing costs, oil leaks, broken gears, consequential damage, loss of  income or any other loss or expense.
  • Ryder Racing will not be liable for any repairs or work carried out, without prior approval from Ryder Racing.
  • Warranty is void if parts have been tampered with, modified or dismantled. 
  • Goods cannot be returned if they have been specially ordered.  Goods will be accepted only at the Management’s discretion. If accepted  for return, such goods will be subject to a 15% handling charge. Prior  approval is required by management. Goods will not be accepted for  return if they have been fitted, unless proven faulty by Ryder Racing
  • Warranty is void for components used in performance / modified vehicles or parts / competition / off road / race applications.
  • All fitment information is for vehicles released in Australia, unless specified otherwise.

Ryder  Racing Pty Ltd are an independent supplier of aftermarket, original  equipment and genuine parts. We are in no way related to genuine or original part manufacturers, distributors or dealers. The warranty of  any OEM genuine part is solely provided by Ryder Racing Pty Ltd at there  discretion


Shipping/Freight


Ryder  Racing Pty Ltd will always undertake to provide adequate packaging to  prevent damage to products during shipping. Our responsibility for any  damage to freight ends when order has left our premises. We will  consider replacement of damaged product however judgement will be at our  discretion. If damage has occurred during shipping it would be advised  to notify us and relevant courier.


Fitting Requirements


All mechanical components must be installed by a licensed motor vehicle repairer / specialist, warranty will be void in all other instances.

Cooling systems must be cleaned and serviced by a licensed cooling system specialist.

Thermostat and radiator hoses to be professionally replaced.

All  ancillaries left on engine at time of sale, i.e. , starter motor,  alternator etc are not covered by warranty if the part is returned to  the owner faulty.

All oil seals must be checked and replaced if needed. (Be aware that leaking seals are not covered by warranty)

Correct coolant and oil weight / type must be used and maintained at correct levels "used engines".

Timing  belts and idlers are to be replaced at customer’s discretion and cost.  Ryder Racing is not required to make a judgement if a timing belt  component is in serviceable condition during engine reconditioning.

Broken or damaged gears in cylinder heads, gearboxes and differentials are not covered by warranty. Road or street applications.

Warranty  is void if: Overheating occurs, damage occurs due to lack of oil or incorrect oil, parts are improperly or inexpertly installed or  maintained, missing heat tabs or if any part or assembly has been dismantled in any way.

Ryder Racing  Pty Ltd are to be notified of any claim prior to any warranty work commencing.  Any work undertaken without consent will not be recognised. Ryder Racing Pty Ltd reserve the right to exchange, replace or repair  any goods covered by warranty. Refusal will result in a void warranty  claim.


OEM engine replacement


  • Ryder Racing will not cover damage due to improper engine installation, negligence, abuse, alteration or accident.
  • Improper or insufficient break-in (failure to follow assigned break-in procedure, including oil changes.)
  • Damage resulting from improper engine tuning including, piston  skirt scuffing, lifted heads /  head gasket failure, damage indicated by head gaskets exhibiting burned or crushed fire ring(s), or damage  caused by improper combustion, detonation, pre-ignition or extreme  cylinder pressures, as indicated by melted, broken, or eroded pistons or  bent wrist pins/worn wrist pin bushings.
  • Damage resulting from improper installation or clutch adjustment,  including crankshaft thrust bearing damage on the transmission side only.
  • Driver abuse caused from inexperience, ie novice driver, L, P1 or P2 driver, Automatic only proficient license holder
  • Damage caused by lack of proper maintenance, failure to follow  scheduled maintenance intervals or failure to use or maintain proper  type and levels of fluids, fuel, oil, and lubricants, including  accelerated wear from contaminated oil or fuel wash. That lack of government registered workshop carrying out the services required as per usual vehicle warranty.
  • Damage caused by the failure of other engine-related components,  such as fuel injectors or pump, wiring, water pump, oil pump, sensors or gaskets.
  • Damage related failure to replace contaminated oiling components.  Oiling components may include oil pump, oil cooler, oil pick up, oil  pan, oil-driven AVCS cam gears, screened banjo bolts and all other  contaminated oiling related components depending on the model year and  layout of the vehicle.
  • Engine damage without documentation of professional installation, including proof of purchase of replacement oiling components. Proof of proper maintenance is the owner’s responsibility.
  • Damage due to abuse, including over-rev, overheating, lean conditions or oil starvation.
  • Engines where the odometer has been disconnected or mileage has been altered.
  • Failure caused by short block or cylinder head casting flaw or failure.
  • Damage caused by vehicle collisions or other accidental damage, including shipping damage.
  • Damage caused by foreign objects dropped or drawn into cylinders or the crankcase, including water or other fluids.
  • Ryder Racing does not allow expenses such as towing, shipping, rental vehicles, loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use or other economic loss to the extent allowed by law.
  • Damage to subsequent components, such as a turbocharger or wastegate, due to failure of an engine or engine component.


Ryder Racing short and long block warranty terms and conditions


Ryder  Racing uses stringent machine methods and procedures during the  development of their products. Ryder Racing services and products are developed over years to develop the services which support our  workmanship. Therefore, we offer a limited warranty against defects in  workmanship and or materials, covering both parts and labour, for a  standard period of 1-Year/12,000km. It is up to the consumer to register the product after purchase.


Ryder  Racing Warranty Limitations for Short Block / Long Block, 207 engine, 257 engine, “The Daily”, “The Streeter”, “The Tuner”, The Racer”, “The  Extremist”, “The Hybrid” and  “The Megalo”.


  • Standard Warranty period begins on the day the engine was  delivered not installation, it’s not Ryder Racing’s responsibility for any delay in installation. 
  • Standard Warranty applies only to short block / long block components manufactured and assembled by Ryder Racing.
  • Standard Warranty does not extend to any other part of the engine,  turbocharger, accessories, or vehicle in which the engine is installed,  or subsequent damage to any component or part of the vehicle due to an  engine failure.
  • Standard Warranty coverage excludes any shipping costs incurred to  return the product to our workshop. If the warranty claim is denied,  the client will be responsible for return shipping from our workshop.
  • Standard Warranty coverage excludes any and all labour expenses needed for reassembly, as well as any components (i.e. gaskets, fluids,  etc.) required for re-installation. Ryder Racing is not responsible for  any travel expenses, short or long term stay requirements or towing for the vehicle.
  • Standard Warranty is only offered if the short block / long block is professionally installed by a licensed mechanic, with receipts  provided. Receipts must include the date, address, license number and  ABN or EIN of the workshop, (receipts will be verified).
  • Standard Warranty is non-transferrable and only offered to the  original purchaser of the engine, by no way will the product warranty be  transferred to another person even if it had never been installed.
  • All parts used in the assembly of the Ryder Racing built short  block / long block carry the manufacturer’s individual component  warranties (unless in race applications) where no warranty is given. No warranty is expressed or implied for any customer-supplied components,  this includes supplying the wrong components which could cause damage to any other part of the vehicle.
  • Standard Warranty clients are responsible for initiating a warranty claim with Ryder Racing directly.
  • The customer agrees that  they will be held responsible for all  engine tear down costs for claims deemed insufficient and/or invalid.
  • Proof of proper maintenance is the owner’s responsibility, by the  way of paid invoice with supporting details of the workshop, licence  number, address, workshop name ABN or IAN.
  • Any covered repairs or replacement will not extend the warranty period.

Late Payment T and C's

Payment is due upon completion of all job, vehicles will not be released until payment has been made in full. 

Payment plans are on a job by job basis, Ryder Racing has the right to decline any request regarding payment plans.

If a payment plan is granted a weekly late fee will apply for each week there after at a rate of 5% of the total invoice cost. 

If vehicles are held due to non payment a $25 per day storage fee will be applied to cover the burden of carrying such vehicle. Ryder Racing will not be held accountable for any damages due to the vehicle being stored. Damage being any part of that vehicle.

Any failure to pay after 4 weeks legal action will commence with the burden of expenses to the owner of the vehicle. 

After 3 months of storage of said vehicle the vehicle will be sold to cover expenses with the balance paid through legal proceedings

Return Policy

The respective buyer has 14 days to inspect their shipment and contents. After that period of time, Ryder Racing Pty Ltd is no longer responsible for missing item(s). You have 30 days to report any damaged, defective or incorrectly packaged item(s), after that period of time Ryder Racing Pty Ltd is no longer responsible for returns or exchanges. All stocked items which are incorrectly ordered by the respective buyer are subject to a 30 Day return policy. The item(s), when approved for return the item(s) are subject to a 20 percent restocking fee only (if that item was incorrectly ordered). All item(s) returns require a return authorization number before being shipped back to Ryder Racing Pty Ltd or the manufacturer. A return number is obtained by calling the Ryder Racing sales  desk (see contact page). Some item(s) may require shipping back to the manufacturer for inspection before a return or exchange can take place. Some item(s) may not be able to be returned. There are no returns for Special Order items and Electrical Components (including any Ryder Racing Mil Spec wiring harness, or Mil Spec wiring orders). Item(s) returned after the 30 Day return period without a return number will be refused.

Limitation of Liability

Ryder Racing Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site or the performance of the products, even if Ryder Racing Pty Ltd has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation of exclusion of liability or incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. As Ryder Racing Pty Ltd products are intended for track and race application they shall not be liable to any damages they cause to any part of a motor vehicle. Motor vehicle being defined as; "motor vehicle" means a vehicle that is built to be propelled by a motor that forms part of the vehicle.
